Christine was born in Manitowoc, WI and always knew she’d become an artist. She moved to Florida and earned her B.F.A. degree in Ceramics at Florida Atlantic University - Boca Raton (FAU). On campus in the clay studio, Christine met her lifelong partner Louis. He was born in Queens, NY and graduated with a B.A. degree from The State University of New York - Geneseo. Louis relocated to Ft. Lauderdale where he was a firefighter for five years and continued studies in ceramics at FAU.
Upon Christine’s graduation, the couple’s similar interests in clay and country living brought them to the enchanting hills of Tennessee. Over the past 40 years, the Colombarinis have shared a loving home and studio, creating countless works of clay art. Their mutual passion for ceramics has taken the couple to over 500 juried art shows and exhibitions with the distinction of winning numerous awards.
